Melkweg|Fritom provides shortsea liquid transport to all countries (reachable by sea) within Western Europe. The advantage of shortsea liquid transport is that a large amount of liquid food containers can be shipped at once.

Melkweg is one of the subsidiaries of Fritom. These subsidiaries merged to one large distribution network and complement each other when necessary. Recently, a new branding strategy was introduced in which all subsidiaries of Fritom share the same logo.
